Foundation Background and Purpose
The goal of the STAR Library is sharing the core competencies such as academic & research achievements among science & technology specialized universities in order to cultivate global research-oriented universities leading the national science and technology development.
- Provision of the information resources to support the activities of researchers in the science & technology field
- Utilization of outstanding research resources from science & technology institutions and establishment of global distribution environment of them
- Provision of a channel to the advanced science & technology research information to the public
- Global promotion of the research achievement of researchers

- APR : Signed MOU among KAIST, GIST, DGIST
- DEC : Established the STAR Library ISP
- 2015

- AUG : Adopted STAR Library H/W and set the domain address
- DEC : Launched STAR Library
- 2016

- NOV : Released the Open Contents Collection System
- DEC : Constructed standard RIMS (Researcher Information Management System)
- 2017

- FEB : Signed MOU among 4 institutions (KAIST, GIST, DGIST, UNIST)

- DEC : Opened REFAS(References Analysis Service) service system, Spreading out RIMS(UNIST)

- NOV : Launched integrated search and analysis service for researcher/research performance and improved REFAS
