Resource Search


You can search for books, articles, journals, theses held in the KAIST, GIST, DGIST, UNIST libraries from one place.Link

  • Library Catalog You can check the status of the loan, search for and borrow books from KAIST, GIST, DGIST, UNIST libraries. The integrated search service provides various search conditions.
  • Article You can search for the various types of e-information resources including Web DBs, e-journals subscribed to in the libraries with partnership.
  • Journal You can search for e-journals subscribed to in the libraries with partnership.
  • Thesis You can search for the thesis DB constructed by the libraries with partnership in one place (Currently theses from KAIST, GIST are available only).

Inter-Library Loan


You can borrow books not held by your library from other libraries with partnership (KAIST, GIST, DGIST, UNIST).

  • User: Enrolled students, faculty, staff of KAIST, GIST, DGIST and UNIST (Students on leave and graduates may not be available according to the policy of each university.)
  • Target materials: Books (except for reference books and designated books by each university)
  • Cost: Free (In case of switching to the charged service, notice will be posted on the portal.)
How to Apply
  • Sign up and login Sign up and login Register as an institution user.
  • Book Search Book Search Search the book you want, then view its details.
  • Inter-Library Loan Application Inter-Library Loan Application Click on the "ILL Request" link at the top of the detail information.
How to Loan & Return
  • Place to loan: Designated place on each institution
  • Processing days: 1~2 working days after applying for loan
  • Application limit: Limitation under the loan policy of each institution belong to
  • Loan Period: 15 days after receiving books
  • Renewal: An extension request can be renewed only once, in that case the loan term will be extended for another 7 days from the due date. (Extension can be requested until the due date.)
  • Return: Returnable only at the user-affiliated institution or book-holding institution.

Penalty
  • Lost or damaged: Replacement with a book of the same price or reimbursement with current price
  • Overdue: Following the overdue penalty according to the library regulations of your institution

You can access to articles not held by your library from other libraries with partnership (KAIST, GIST, DGIST, UNIST).

arXiv arXiv is maintained and operated by the Cornell University Library. Covered areas include physics, mathematics, computer science, nonlinear sciences, quantitative biology and statistics. PLOS PLoS(Public Library of Science) was founded in 2001 as a nonprofit Open Access publisher, innovator and advocacy organization with a mission to accelerate progress in science and medicine by leading a transformation in research communication.
BioMed Central BioMed Central owned by Springer Nature is an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher with a large portfolio of peer-reviewed open access journals. PMC PubMed Central® (PMC) is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM).
bioRxiv BioRxiv (pronounced "bio-archive") collects and provides preprint papers in the field of life sciences. It is run by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a nonprofit research and educational institution. SCOAP3 SCOAP3 has converted key journals in the field of High-Energy Physics to Open Access at no cost for authors. SCOAP3 centrally pays publishers for costs involved in providing Open Access, publishers in turn reduce subscription fees to all their customers, who can re-direct these funds to contribute to SCOAP3.
ChemRxiv ChemRxiv (pronounced "chem-archive") collects and provides preprint papers in chemistry and related fields. SpringerOpen The SpringerOpen offer researchers from all areas of science, technology, medicine, the humanities and social sciences a place to publish open access in journals and books.
cogprints Cogprints is a collection of preprint papers in the areas of psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, computer science, philosophy and biology.

Lectures
TED TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. KOOC KOOC(KAIST Open Online Course) is an open course program with courses of prominent KAIST professors. Anyone can take lectures for free online. Additional login is required to access the contents.
KOCW KOCW(Korea Open CourseWare) supported by KERIS provides e-learning contents for higher education developed by universities in Korea including cyber universities. It also provides course materials of international higher educational institutions.
